Workshop

In this workshop entitled “Body building” from Prototype to Archetype Colette Sadler will offer participants insights into her dance and choreographic methods. Suitable for professional and semiprofessional dancers, movers and performance makers.
In this workshop we will look at how prototyping a body/bodies is a way to create a container for fleshy fictionality and transgressive embodiment using movement and performance.
As a starting point we will look at some of the bodies Colette has created in her existing works including the real/digital “BODY A” from “Learning From The Future”.
By sharing tools, strategies and approaches to “Body Building” this workshop invites us to devise new imaginaries and dances for bodies that would not happen without them. What bodies do we need and want to speak for us in dance and performance today?
