Present Futures are delighted to host artist Rafael Tsantes on placement with the festival through the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland’s Contemporary Performance Practice Department.
About Rafael Tsantes:
Rafael Tsantes is a performer & visual artist interested in the concept of space and its materiality. He uses different mediums to interact with/in it. Rafael Tsantes specializes in multimedia performance utilizing mediums such as film and photography. He is fond of installation art and anything visually stimulating. Through his art pieces Rafael is trying to reflect the times. Rafael sees contemporary performance as something fluid that is constantly changing like a spineless organism. It transforms throughout the passage of time, following either the needs of every audience or the space of the show as a differentiating context. He is currently a student of 3rd year of Contemporary Performance in Royal Conservatoire of Scotland.
Throughout the festival Rafael will be sharing his artistic responses and reflections on the themes of the festival through his blog.
